Since its establishment in 2004, Carmel Developments has completed numerous innovative development projects in the Philadelphia area. Carmel’s design brings an international and artistic flair resulting in a combination of the traditional and the exotic.  Such a dynamic contrast is the result of the leadership of CEO, Amit Azoulay. 

 Amit was born and raised in Israel. He moved to the United States in his twenties and attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Amit received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Pennsylvania.  Since then he has combined his prodigious skill at architectural drawings with his innate sense of design and created elaborately fashioned spaces for the modern dweller.  A home by Carmel Developments is a combination of breathtaking views and highly functional space created with the urban family or individual in mind.  Carmel specializes in designing the home to fit the landscape whether it be a row-home, condo or palatial villa overlooking the park.  A home by Carmel is always unique, envied and in demand no matter where the location.

Carmel Developments can offer support from start to finish, or at any phase in between. If you are in an early stage of your project, or just starting out, we will help you outline your ideas with schematic drawings, notes and photographs. If necessary, we’ll assist you with finding an architect, or an interior designer that fits your visual taste and budget. If you have architectural drawings already made, then you are a step closer to achieving your dream. We will review the plans and make any worthwhile suggestions regarding design, practicality and price point. Construction is a complicated process with many phases; it is easy to loose the clarity of your initial vision with the many different design options and materials available. We will work closely with you, your architect and interior designer to make sure all your goals are met.

Each project requires a different level of attention. More complex projects will require obtaining permits from the local township. We strongly recommend obtaining all necessary permits. Permits are given after an in-depth review and approval of the architectural plans by the township or city. The plan review may reveal a code violation or a potentially hazardous or unsafe design. In that event, the plans will not be approved until all issues raised by the plan examiner are satisfied. Unfortunately, this process does take time, in some cases more than others, but it will prevent you from erecting a compromised structure.
